Protest: Stockton Stands with Palestine (06.04.2021)
"Hey Hey, Ho Ho, The Occupation's Got to Go!"
Prior to our Family Day in the Park, individuals gathered today to protest the Israel apartheid state and stand with Palestinians. Stockton Stands would like to recognize Rami Arab, a Palestinian born and raised in Stockton, who led the chants for our protests. Stockton Stands also thanks the volunteers who created the posters for our march today. Most importantly, Stockton Stands is grateful to each individual who showed up today and stood in solidarity with Palestine.
The protestors marched around MLK Plaza and Stockton's City Hall several times. They were able to attract honks in support from cars in oncoming traffic. As one of the chants echoed, "the people united can NEVER be defeated." While everyone could not attend today's protest, Stockton's solidarity with Palestine is unwavering.
Stockton Stands will continue to advocate for human rights through demonstrations and events like these.
If you have any questions about the protest or have an idea for a future event, please reach out to us via email (stocktonstands@gmail.com) or message us on our social media accounts.
