Charles Udeze

Treasurer

Charles (he/him) serves as Grant Writer & Storyteller, where he is primarily in charge of developing organizational infrastructure, funding, and sustainability mechanisms. He is also Stockton Stands’ chief interpreter of data and narratives, articulating community stories to advance the organization’s goals of achieving equity and justice in Stockton.

​

Charles is passionate about affecting health outcomes through community-engaged policy development. Prior to his role at Stockton Stands, he organized youth and community engagement initiatives at the Reinvent South Stockton Coalition. He also coordinated health programs at San Joaquin County Public Health Services and St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton. He's excited to create meaningful change in Stockton and promote its growth into a healthy, bustling community.

Charles earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with minors in Economics and Community Research & Service from the University of California, Merced. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing basketball, and playing his trombone and tuba.
