Tiana Gonzalez

Vice President & Director of Social Impact

Pronouns: she/they

Tiana (she/they) was born and primarily raised in Stockton, California, and has with deep roots in the community.

The first in their family to graduate from college, Tiana earned their undergraduate degree in Collaborative Health and Human Services from California State University, Monterey Bay. Grounded in their lived experience growing up in a low-income household, Tiana developed a deep awareness of how structural inequality shapes the conditions of everyday life. This consciousness evolved into a lifelong commitment to collective liberation and social transformation.

Tiana went on to earn a Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Stanislaus, and now works as a mental health practitioner, centering healing justice and the interconnection between personal well-being and systemic change. Their practice is rooted in the understanding that mental health cannot be separated from the broader social, economic, and political contexts that influence it.

Drawing from both clinical and community organizing experience, Tiana’s work bridges the micro, mezzo, and macro levels, recognizing how systems of oppression manifest in individual and community struggles, and how collective action can transform those systems. Their approach weaves together empathy, critical consciousness, and a deep belief in the power of people to imagine and create liberatory futures.

Outside of work, Tiana continues to find grounding and inspiration in California’s diverse landscapes, exploring the state’s natural beauty as a reminder of connection, resilience, and possibility.
